When is the next scheduled waste pick-up?

Waste pick-up in the Town of Trenton is scheduled for every second Friday by Pictou County Solid Waste.Recyclables and garbage are picked up on the same day. All material should be placed curbside by 7:00 AM to ensure collection.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation, notice will be given by PCSW prior to 7:00 AM on 94.1 East Coast FM Radio, announced on their Pictou County Solid Waste and Pictou County Solid Waste on Facebook. If your collection is cancelled before 7:00 AM your material will be collected the following Saturday. If a storm begins when the collection trucks are on their routes, it is at the drivers discretion to continue collecting. If this happens and your collection is cancelled, your material will be picked up on your next regular collection day. (PCSW)

As well, the app gives you the option of receiving reminders and will notify you regarding cancellations or changes to your collection.
