Communities across Canada celebrate National Volunteer Week every year!
"The National Volunteer Week theme for 2024, Every Moment Matters highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever. The sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our communities.
Volunteers are fundamental to meeting this challenging moment. By coming together, committing support, and increasing our collective efforts and impact, we contribute exponentially to the quality of life we all strive for.
During National Volunteer Week 2024, we come together to recognize and celebrate the importance of each and every volunteer’s impact from coast to coast to coast. Now more than ever, Every Moment Matters."
Volunteer of the Year Nominations
The annual Florence Gouthro Memorial Award is presented each year to a volunteer who exemplifies the true spirit of volunteerism. The nomination process is open to local organizations and community groups, as well as the public. This open call for nominations is County wide; however, the nominee must be a volunteer who is serving/impacting Trenton in some way.
We are now accepting nominations for the 2024 Volunteer of the Year!
We have moved our applications to an online form this year, as we hope it will encourage more nominations:
