pdf Message to Trenton Resident's from Mayor MacInnis (104 KB)

April 09, 2020

On behalf of Town Council, I would like to extend our sincerest appreciation for the residents of Trenton. We have received many inquiries from those looking to help during this time of uncertainty. Please know that your kindness and dedication to our community is greatly appreciated.

We ask that you send that kindness towards your neighbours, your friends, and others in our community. Things as simple as calling to check in with your neighbours to make sure they’re doing alright, picking up and dropping off groceries for those in our community that are in need, or putting a sign in your window thanking our essential workers for their continued acts of selflessness. Little actions can go a long way in ensuring our Town thrives and those efforts don’t go unnoticed.

The Town has been working diligently with the other Town’s and Municipality of Pictou County. At this time, all efforts are to be handled through the Regional Emergency Management Organization Pictou County (REMO). REMO Pictou County has been put in place to ensure collaboration under a “provincial approved emergency management plan to deliver essential services to all Pictou County residents during emergency situations”. Public notices from REMO Pictou County can be found on the Town website and are regularly updated on the new REMO Pictou County Facebook page. Please see below for these and other informative links.

Thank you again to everyone for doing their part. We ask that you continue to stay home, stay informed, and stay safe Trenton!

Respectfully,
Mayor Shannon MacInnis
